CONFINED SPACE ENTRY & PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT  - $160.00

This course provides students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need for entering confined spaces properly and safely. Topics covered will include OSHA requirements for permitting confined spaces, safety equipment.

 

 EXCAVATION AND TRENCHING SAFETY AWARENESS - $160.00

This course examines in detail the methods and responsibilities of safe excavation, trenching and OSHA requirements.  The workshop part of the class will reinforce the classroom instruction as the students will physically test the soil, assemble, install and remove a trench box.  Students will also assemble, install and remove shoring equipment / materials.

 

OSHA 10 HOUR GENERAL INDUSTRY (OSHA compliant) - $285.00 (includes 29 CFR 1920 Book)

2 Day (10 Hours)  (Class starts at 8:00 A.M.)

This 10 hour course covers basic safety issues of the General Industry Standard 29 CFR 1910. It is designed for supervisors, safety professionals, foreman, project managers or any one required to hold a 10 hour DOL card for their safety program. This course covers a variety of topics including: Introduction to OSHA, Walking and Working Surfaces (including Fall Protection), Exit Routes, Emergency Action plans, Fire Prevention plans, Fire Protection, Electrical Safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Communications and many other areas.

 

ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION - $155.00

1 Day (8 Hours), Re-certification Points (CE) - 6    (Class starts at 8:00 A.M.)

This 8 hour course covers basic accident investigation techniques. This course is designed to give personnel knowledge to investigate an accident including the steps involved, analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.

 

MAINTAINING A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT WHILE EXCAVATING (COMPETENT PERSON)

(Class starts at 8:00 A.M.)

Soil excavation is require to build and maintain pipelines for transporting natural gas and other structures.  In the process of excavation the soil may become unstable creating conditions that may result in cave-ins.

Maintaining a Safe Working Environment While Excavating (Competent Person) - $145.00

• Recognize and avoid unsafe conditions resulting from earth excavation
• Identify requirements for earth excavation according to OSHA 29 CFR Part 1926, Subpart P - Excavations
• Identify requirements for protection systems according to OSHA 29 CFR Part 1026, Subpart P - Excavations
• Use tables and specifications to design shoring protective systems according to OSHA 29 CFR Part 1926, Subpart P - Excavations

 

PERFORMING AS A FIRST RESPONDER TO A NATURAL GAS EMERGENCY

(Class starts at 8:00 A.M.)

As a first responder to the site of the reported gas odor, your responsibility is to make the premises safe until a trained service person can respond.

Performing as a First Responder to a Natural Gas Emergency - $125.00 (6 Hours)

• Check for the presence of a gas-in-air mixture inside and outside buildings
• Check the free air for the presence of carbon monoxide (CO)
• Perform as a first responder to an emergency involving natural gas

 

Damage Prevention - COMMISSION APPROVED TRAINING CLASSES / GUFPA TRAINING

If your company has been assessed a civil penalty for a violation of the Georgia Utility Facility Protection Act with the offer to attend a Commission approved training class in lieu of paying a penalty, you may choose to have your employees attend damage prevention classes presented in English, Spanish or both. COMMUNICATING AND REACTING TO POTENTIAL HAZARDS IN THE WORKPLACE - $125.00

Because of the potential health hazzards resulting from the mishandling of chemicals and other hazardous materials, persons in the workplace should be aware of the proper methods of handling, labeling, storing, transporting, and disposing of toxic chemicals and hazardous materials.  After completeing this module you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the task, communicateing and reacting to potential hazards in the workplace.
